The story of Ceccaldi cutlery begins in the village of Zoza, in southern Corsica, where the desire to work with his hands was born in the mind of Jean-Pierre Ceccaldi. His passion for this profession, Jean-Pierre derives from Mr. Paul Santoni, one of the last proponents of this unique knowledge on the island, who knew how to transmit the secrets of the Corsican knife to him. Then motivated by his desire to improve and give free rein to his creativity, he will set up his first manufacturing workshop with his wife Dany Ceccaldi in the heart of the family home. Passion and stubbornness will give him a know-how that is now recognized by all. Production begins with the traditional Corsican knife, the "curnicciulu", and then will expand from year to year in order to offer a full range of knives. This is how we see appearing within this range both traditional knives such as "vendetta" as table knives, exceptional pieces, kitchen knives, or pocket knives; these pieces are always designed with the same requirements: quality, authenticity and creativity.
