La forêt d'Aïtone, près du village d'Evisa, domine le golfe de Porto. Elle produit les plus beaux pins laricio de Corse, avec celle de Valdu Niellu. Cette dernière s'étend sur plus de 4.000 ha. On peut y accéder par un chemin de randonnée dans les châtaigneraies depuis Evisa (si vous avez des enfants, des panneaux pédagogiques décrivent la flore locale), ou en voiture par une route de montagne. Dans la forêt, de nombreuses piscines naturelles et les cascades de l'Aïtone tenteront peut être les plus courageux. L'eau y dépasse rarement les 11 degrés en été!

"The Aïtone forest near the village of Evisa overlooks the Golfe of Porto and, along with the Val du Niellu (which covers an area of over 4,000ha), has the most beautiful Laricio pines in Corsica. The forest can be reached from Evisa via a footpath through the sweet chestnut woods (if you have children, look out for the information boards describing the local flora), or by car along a mountain road.
In the forest, the numerous natural pools and the Aïtone waterfalls will tempt hardy bathers - the temperature of the water rarely exceeds 11°C, even in summer!

La foresta di Aïtone, vicino al villaggio di Evisa, domina il golfo di Porto. Insieme alla foresta di Valdu Niellu produce i pini larici più belli di tutta la Corsica. Entrambe occupano una superficie di 4.000 ha dove si arriva a piedi seguendo una strada escursionistica che in partenza da Evisa, attraversa alcuni boschi di castagne. Per i vostri bambini, diversi pannelli pedagogici descrivono la flora locale. (L'area è raggiungibile in macchina attraverso una strada di montagna) Nella foresta, i numerosi bacini naturali e le cascate dell'Aïtone invitano i più coraggiosi a fare un bel bagno. L'acqua supera raramente gli 11 gradi in estate!
