Walking and a high ropes course in the Vizzavona forest +Added to my favoriteItem already present

On this July morning, it’s already very hot in Ajaccio and we decided with the children that we’d seek shade at the Vizzavona adventure park. A high ropes course, forest walks and a picnic are on the agenda for this active day.

As we arrive at the Vizzavona pass 40 minutes later, it’s already 5 degrees cooler. We are welcomed by the park supervisors who equip us and give us the first briefing. We start the 10 minutes of descent to the site which allows us to warm up. As we approach the heart of the forest, the trees are denser and the air begins to refresh us ... this is exactly what we needed.

At the foot of the trees is the yellow course, then the blue course – you have a choice. The first is suitable for all members of the family and allows you to familiarise yourselves with the technique of hanging carabiners and different workshops; the second is more challenging, aimed at the more adventurous: zip line, rope, monkey bars, footbridges and a Tarzan jump!

We continue to the new unique attraction in Corsica: the escalabre! A Lariccio pine tree, 30 metres high, fitted with climbing holds fixed without nails or screws (to avoid damage to the tree). The goal is of course to reach its summit. A brilliant challenge that we will all attempt.

At break time, we have a rest at the snack bar just above the river. Walkers come and go; the Cascade des Anglais is not far from here.

Between heaven and earth, each one of us found their foothold. Mother Nature revealed herself in all her splendour, making the day unforgettable.
