Calvi’s Pine grove beach is a long fine sand beach a few hundred metres from the city centre and bordered by a attractive pine grove. It boasts a fantastic view of Calvi and its citadel. Should you wish to discover almost all of Balagne’s beaches in a single trip, there’s only one way to do this: take the little train that connects Calvi and L’Ile-Rousse. What’s special about it? The water is often just a few metres away from the rails. More information can be found at the Calvi-Balagne tourist office and tickets can be bought at stations or on the train itself. As the beach is regularly cleaned, it is an ideal place to bring children.
