Presentation
With an ideal location overlooking the Valinco bay, Olmeto offers one of the most stunning views of this micro-region. In the village, enjoy the Baracci thermal baths (currently closed for restoration) and the numerous beaches nearby. Admire the two Genoese towers (Calanca and Micalona) which stand on the coast here. Not to be missed: the Romanesque church (Santa Maria); the winding narrow streets of the old village, full of history at every turn; and the last house of Colomba Carabelli-Bartoli, visible only from the exterior, which will remind you of the novel ?Colomba? by Prosper Mérimée. To the east of the village, a path leads to the Romanesque Saint-Esprit chapel, where a pilgrimage takes place every Whit Monday.
