The Plage de l'Ostriconi is the one of the most beautiful beaches in Corsica and is considered one of the island's idyllic settings. From the beach, take time to explore the section of the Désert des Agriates which lies just north of here. If you look carefully in the hills around Vana cove you'll see various ruins, sometimes in the shape of a totem pole, as well as the remains of a Genoese tower on a small knoll nearby. Although little more than a pile of rubble remains of the tower, the view from here (Ostriconi beach, Île-Rousse and the Agriates coastline to the north) more than compensates for the relatively easy walk through the maquis.
