20245 Galeria
Overlooking the mouth of the Fango and the Golfe de Galeria, this tower was built between 1551 and 1573, and was still in use at the beginning of the 18th century. Handed over to a private company in 1785, it was destroyed in 1792 by an explosion of munitions caused by the inhabitants of Le Nilo reclaiming their rights over the ceded land. It was restored in 1977 by the Association de la Route des Jeunes for conversion into a stopover gîte.
