Presentation

Centuri is a small fishing port situated on the north-west coast of Cap Corse. The commune is bordered to the north and the east by the Mandrioni mountain range and a line of peaks culminating with the Pointe de Torricella (a former radar site) at an altitude of 544m, which act as a boundary between the commune and Ersa and Rogliano. To the south, the commune is separated from Morsiglia by the Fiume-Majo river. Its coastal region extends from Capo Bianco (Capi Biancu) to the north, to the pebble beach of Mute to the south, and includes the Îlot de Capense (an ornithological reserve). The typical maquis vegetation of the commune includes holm oak, arbutus trees, mastic trees, spiny shrubs, heather, cistus and caper bushes. Highly picturesque and colourful, Centuri is a truly delightful village. Take time to stroll through its narrow streets or enjoy a drink on the terrace of one of the cafés or restaurants overlooking the port, from where you can watch the boats coming into the harbour.
