Every May 3rd, Bastians come to honor the Black Christ of Miracles. This crucifix found at sea in 1428 is in the superb oratory of the Holy Cross in the citadel of Bastia. A procession bringing together fishermen, fraternities and faithful goes to the old port of Bastia where the traditional "blessing of the sea" takes place.
