Tavignanu Trail

Set off to discover the secrets of the Tavignanu valley

The Tavignanu Trail 33 km is an intense experience that immerses you in the raw beauty of the island. The start marks the beginning of an adventure where the hustle and bustle of the city quickly gives way to technical trails and magnificent panoramas.

From the very first kilometers, a demanding climb of 1,400 meters over 6.2 km leads you to aerial views of the Tavignanu valley and the Monte Rotondo mountain range, peaking at 2,622 meters. Along the way, marvel at iconic sites: the Scandulaghju arch, the crystal-clear waters of the Tavignanu river, and the Padule sheepfolds, steeped in the island's pastoral history.

The Bocca Canaglia pass, perched at 1,790 m, marks a key passage of the route, followed by a technical descent to the Sega refuge at 1,100 m. Shady paths, refreshing waterfalls, and more rolling sections, such as the forest track after the Cogna sheepfolds, offer a perfect alternation between exertion and contemplation.

The last 5 kilometers, in the furnace of the Russulinu, will make your epic even more deserving. A triumphant arrival in Corte, passing through its upper town and citadel, will bring your adventure to a close.

Giru di Tumbone

Explore Corti and its surroundings

The Giru di Tumbone, with its 17 km and 650 m of positive elevation gain, is an invitation to explore the splendors of Corsica. Ideal for beginner trail runners or those looking for a short but technical route, this trail immerses you in the authentic world of the Corsican mountains, between heritage and wilderness.

From the start in Corti, the hustle and bustle of the city gives way to picturesque and varied trails. You take the old Mare a Mare Nord mule track, crossing enchanting landscapes: the ridges of Monte Tumbone, a passage through the forest on the outskirts of the villages of Sainte Lucia di Mercoriu and Tralonca, and breathtaking views of Corte and the Rotondu massif.

The return leg is a fun descent through a chestnut grove, before reaching the plains that herald the finish. The loop ends in style in the old town of Corte, dominated by its citadel.

This fun and accessible format is a perfect first approach to the technical trails of Corsica, where each stride reveals striking landscapes.
