At the foot of the Genoese tower of Galeria and at the mouth of the Fango river, four arms of water cross the plain. Slipping silently across its surface are a multitude of animal and plant species. Among hundreds of water lilies bordering the banks, water hens are accompanied by their chicks, and turtles bask in the sun on half-sunken logs. You can also spot small grebes (diving ducks), grey herons, egrets and, more rarely, magnificent kingfishers darting across the water.
Take the chance to discover great ecological wealth and develop a culture of respect for nature and wildlife.
